It’s officially been 10 years since Ryan’s first project aired on television; on January 17th, 2011, Nickelodeon would air the first episode of Supah Ninjas as a special preview before airing regularly in April 2011.
Today of course marks the 10th anniversary of Supah Ninjas as well as the 10th anniversary of Ryan’s career getting started and when he would begin his career as an actor.
Since this is a huge milestone in anybody’s career to make it this long doing one thing and only gaining more fans as the years go by, I’d figure that I would write out this meaningful post about what Ryan means to me over the past ten years that I’ve enjoyed being his fan and watching each new project that he has released over the years.

How It Started
It all started with me watching a lot of Nickelodeon back in 2011 when I finally discovered Supah Ninjas one day and fell in love with it ever since then. In between season 1 and 2, I finally decided to try my hand at a fan tumblr which I opened on his 17th birthday in 2012 under the moniker of RyansPapaya which was stemmed from a tweet he sent out on September 7th, 2012 in which he named his fanbase his papayas.
It’s unknown if he still refers to his fans as that (or if he even remembers.)

Random Information
Ryan Potter is literally my all-time favorite idol, surpassing some of my other long time loves and he’s really become my core relief for when I’m depressed or my anxiety is skyhigh. I can’t thank him enough for all the happiness that he has given me throughout my darkest times as I usually feel better by watching any of his projects, looking at my favorite pictures of him, having someone just let me passionately talk about him and his career and actually taking an interest in it.
There has been many times over the last few years that I would never talk about that had me more than once overthinking about the s word (censored as to not trigger) but just the fact that I’m able to see his instagram posts where he spreads all kinds of awareness, stays humble, kind to everyone, watching his projects, seeing all the things Ryan accomplished and will accomplish.. it slowly brings me back to reality and grounds me. I just, he’s really saved my life even though he will never know it cause I’ll probably never get the chance to meet him in person.
If I ever did have the chance to meet him in real life, the first thing I think I would do is be overwhelmed enough to break down before telling him that he means a lot to me and I’m thankful for him in every way possible. I’d probably be so overwhelmed, I’d forget to mention the site. (even though I know he’s aware of it’s existence.)
Anyways… I think that’s enough *monkey covering eyes emoji*
