“Titans” Episode Eight — Donna Troy Recap!

We get to meet Donna Troy finally! and in the preview, Dick is unsurprisingly leaving the team as he’s tried to do every episode but no-one is keeping track. (jokes cause i love you Dick.)

Stop right there! Have you not been keeping up on all the Gar action? Check out the last recap!

Episode Eight — Donna Troy Synopsis:

As The Titans go their separate ways, Dick turns to an old friend, Donna Troy (CONOR LESLIE), for answers.

Shall we see what trouble Gar is in this week? Let’s go…

As Rachel is cooking breakfast, Gar groggily walks into the kitchen behind her where he notes that there’s irony here as it’s super early before volunteering to make the coffee while Rachel cooks the eggs.

“So.. Dick and Kory. […] Gross!”

While Gar is setting the table, Angela mentions that Gar cares a lot for Rachel and after he denies a hug, she tells him to join them watching the sunrise. He awkwardly tries to sit next to Rachel but opts to stand instead as he’s uncomfortable joining their bonding moment.

At the breakfast table, Rachel tells Angela that Gar is the true chef behind the breakfast as he cooked the pancakes. Gar calls the safe house their secret base!

After breakfast is finished, Dick and the other Titans officially apart as Dick cites the words that only he believes of “never officially being a team.” and he parts ways from the team as none of them look particularly happy with the decision.

Gar & Kory are riding on a train as Gar reads out loud on the menu about vegan pudding in which Kory says it sounds gross. Kory denies Gar’s advances of going upfront to meet back up with Rachel & Angela as they need their alone time and tells him to play with his phone.

Gar is venting to Kory about what happened in the Asylum where he killed the doctor who was trying to kill them. He delves deeper on how it felt when he’s a tiger as he saying the tiger has just as much control if not more while he’s changed. When Kory asks Gar if he wants to make out with Rachel, he gets extreme into denial and asks if he can have her shot which he downs before gagging on it as she walks after the man who was staring at her at the bar.

“Am I supposed to feel numb?”

The train suddenly finds itself at a standstill as there is an obstruction on the traintracks, while Kory is suddenly sitting up and well aware of her surroundings when Gar asks “What’s wrong?” and she brushes him off.
Kory woke up Gar abruptly as he stumbled from his one shot, Kory demanded he find Rachel and get her and Angela off the train immediately. Gar, Rachel and Kory run towards a truck that they acquire (read: steal) due to the owner running away scared of Gar’s tiger form.

When they arrive to Angela’s house in Killdeer, Ohio, they all settle in pretty easily of the now abandoned house. Angela eagerly opens the door and Gar follows her inside with a smile. Gar also stands by while Rachel tries to “heal” Kory’s brain. After a few flashes of Kory speaking her native-tongue, she suddenly stands up taking a hold of Rachel’s neck as Rachel screams.
