Happy 10th Anniversary Ryan Potter!!!!

It’s officially been 10 years since Ryan’s first project aired on television; on January 17th, 2011, Nickelodeon would air the first episode of Supah Ninjas as a special preview before airing regularly in April 2011.

Today of course marks the 10th anniversary of Supah Ninjas as well as the 10th anniversary of Ryan’s career getting started and when he would begin his career as an actor.

Since this is a huge milestone in anybody’s career to make it this long doing one thing and only gaining more fans as the years go by, I’d figure that I would write out this meaningful post about what Ryan means to me over the past ten years that I’ve enjoyed being his fan and watching each new project that he has released over the years.

You can press “Read More” if you’d like to read the post in full.

NEW PROJECT: “We Are Not Free” Audiobook Reading!

Ryan has announced his new project alongside Scotty Takeda, Dan Woren, Ali Fumiko, Sophie Oda, Andrew Kishino, Chris Lee, Grace Rolek, Erika Ishii, Britt Shibashi, Kurt Kanazawa & Terry Kitagawa comes an audiobook titled We Are Not Free by Traci Chee.

You can purchase the book on Apple Books currently where the audiobook is $14.99 and Ryan reads Chapter 2. Ryan has said that this is his best project to date and that he feels incredibly honored to be apart of the reading.

You can read a synopsis of the book below from AudioFileMagazine.com:

An outstanding cast of narrators captures the experiences of 14 Japanese-American teenagers when they and their families are uprooted and forced to live in incarceration camps from 1942-45. Each chapter follows a different character’s story, with the narrator’s voice closely mirroring the character’s distinct and vibrant personality. Listeners feel their initial shock, their anger at living in dirty horse stalls and cold barracks, their joy at close friendships, and their rage and despair as they are forced apart. The interconnected stories highlight individual experiences as they follow an overarching timeline. Kurt Sanchez Kanazawa gives a standout performance as Twitchy, whose liveliness and joyful personality are eventually challenged by horrifying experiences fighting for the U.S. overseas. This work is timely and powerful, especially on audio.
